Vedran Kirincic works at the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Rijeka, currently as an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering and head of the Department of General Electrical Engineering. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in Rijeka and received his PhD from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb. He actively participated in numerous scientific research and professional projects and the establishment of the Laboratory for Power System Monitoring, Protection and Control.
His current scientific and professional interests, in addition to the field of sustainable mobility with an emphasis on electromobility, include the application of technologies and solutions for future electricity networks (Smart Grids), SEAPs and SECAPs. The result of the activity was the publication of a number of scientific and professional papers. He is the author of a number of professional studies and has participated in numerous activities aimed at popularizing science and technology.
Related to the field of sustainable transport, the following projects to which he contributed could be highlighted:
- Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for the island of Krk - Interdisciplinary study of electromobility at the island of Krk and the mobile phone application KrkBike (https://www.krkoutdoor.com/).
