Olga Kefalogianni served as Minister of Tourism of Greece (2012-2015).
Ms Kefalogianni was first elected as Member of Parliament in 2007 (in the district of Rethymnon, Crete). She was re-elected in 2009. Since 2012 she has been elected on the first position on the New Democracy ballot in the central district of Athens for three consecutive times (May 2012, January 2015, July 2019).
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (1997), a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law, King’s College, University of London (1998) and a Masters degree in International Relations (GMAP) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University - Boston (2006).
She is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1999.
She has an extensive professional experience practicing law, both in Athens and abroad (Holland and Knight, New York, N.Y., legal Services of the European Commission, Brussels).
Between 2004-2006 she served as legal advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece Mr. Kostas Karamanlis.
She is the author of the book “The role of the European Union in the Cyprus issue”.
Ms Kefalogianni is a member of the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, the Special Permanent Committee on Institutions and Transparency, the Committee on European Affairs, as well as the Committee on Defense Procurement.
She is the head of the Greek Parliament Delegation in the Inter-parliamentary Union (I.P.U.).
Ambassador of the Greek Parliament at the Women Political Leaders (WPL).
Honorary member of the Hellas International Chamber of Commerce Women (I.C.C. Women Hellas).
Honorary President of the Maria Callas Hellenic Society.
